A substitute for Professional Deep Tissue Massage Therapists in Denver, CO!!
Have you heard of the Theracane? Well they'll appreciate this free advertisement I'm about to give because I am huge believer in this wonderful tool and you should be too :-)
The Theracane is something I personally own and recommend to almost all my clients--who enjoy the Deep Tissue Massage Techniques. The Theracane, in my humble opinion, is a great substitute for a Professional Neuromuscular Massage Therapist in Denver, Colorado for many, many reasons. I'd like to highlight three of the qualitites that make this such a great tool: it's portability/storage, ability to provide focused deep pressure or Trigger Point Therapy, and it's overall sturdy build quality.
One of the more desirable qualities is the theracane's lite weight and small build. It is discrete and small enough to easily store under a desk, vehicle backseat or trunk--and can quickly be accessed and used at your desk or while you're stuck in traffic (never use while driving of course). The design also allows for hanging the Cane on a door hook, closet clothing bar or wall-hook.
The Theracane is wonderfully capable to provide Trigger Point Therapy by looping the hooked portion of the shoulder, properly aligning the hooked portions' knob to the 'knot'--making sure to stay off of the spine and in the lamina groove. Grabbing the two knobs located midway on the staff portion, push forward. Adjusting the amount of forward force to your comfort level, hold the pressure for 30 seconds, break for 15 seconds and repeat two more times (holding the pressure 3 times for 30 seconds each time). This protocol is often used in Neuromuscular or Trigger Point Massage Therapy and is sufficient at dissipating Trigger Points; which are those painful 'knots' that often radiate pain to another area. For regular maintenance, start at the top of your neck and work down both sides of the spine--this may help with numbness or tingling in the arms and hands; as well as promoting good overall circulation.
The last aspect is equally as important as the first two--we all enjoy a nice product, especially one that lasts and can stand up to normal use; as well as the careless use things often sustained. . Although it lacks a lot of weight, the hardened green plastic-like build is very firm and offers very little flexibility--no snapping this cane easily. It should be noted that the cane does allow, if properly used, enough give to ensure you don't hurt yourself by applying deep pressure
The Theracane in my opinion is a wonderful tool to use in situations where you cannot get an appointment with a Massage Therapist. For those mornings you wake up with a crick-in-your-neck or you 'slept wrong', the Theracane is a great emergency tool. Although nothing can truly beat the skilled hands and palpation skills of a Professional Therapeutic Massage Therapist.
You can purchase at Theracane.com...I have no affiliation or relationship with Theracane.com or any of its affiliates other than owning a Theracane tool myself. I do not get commission, perks or kick-backs from them in any way. I just believe in the product :)
